Hi all,
Been on rollitup for a few weeks now learning as much as I can and following different grows and I figured why not try to start my own.
Heres the scoop on the closet grow:
-4x2x6 closet
-2, 100w LED Full spectrum and 2, 45w LED's
-CX-Horticulture nutes
-2, 5 gallon buckets w/ airstones
-Humidifier
-4inch duct fan intake/outtake
-Exhale Co2 bag
-Feminized seeds from seedsman
On 9/30 started the Cheese and Bubba's Gift in hemp starter cubes
Seeds germinated on 10/4
I placed the hemp cubes in the grow medium on 10/9 using 1/4 strength nutes
The starting ppm was 250 and ph was 6.0, Humidity 52%, Temp 72f (Been pretty consistent with temp and humidity)
On 10/17 the ph of the cheese was at 6.9 and the Bubba's gift was at 6.7 so I did my first res change
- Upped the nutes to 50%, ppm was at 630 and ph was at 6.3
-Noticed the pH rising slowly after res change, I investigated on rollitup and ordered some pH down
On 10/22 the pH was back up at 6.9 again and 6.7 again so I changed the res and corrected with GH pH down
-Stayed consistent with the nutes, ppm was at 660 and ph corrected to 5.8-6.0, humidity high of 65 low of 50, temp 73
On 10/28 corrected pH from a rising 6.3 and 6.5 back down to 5.8 on both buckets
Currently writing on 10/30, and growth seems to be going faster and stronger everyday, nice amber white roots
Any tips are welcome, this is my first time doing DwC indoor.
Really interested how and when you guys recommend training the plant. Should I start training it now? I have been looking into scrogging methods and that seems like a good route for such a small closet grow.
I noticed some fuzzy cotton web like substance growing on the hemp cube on the bubba's gift (Pic below). I suspect that this is from too much humidity at some point (messed up 2 times and left the manual control humidifier on for too long and it rose >80%). Should I be concerned? Is there a way to clean it off? I read h202 can help, I have a normal bottle of peroxide in the cabinet if that works. The plants and roots still look healthy.
I look forward to keeping up with this post and getting feedback from you guys! Thanks for taking the time to look.
