Jacks classic

I've used it for right at 40 years (1972).

Works great with a soil mix, just add some lime, follow the directions.

Im not sure how youve been using it for 40 years because it was just introduced in 1997.

Taken directly from the JR Peters website: "Introduced in 1997, the Jack's Classic[SUP]®[/SUP] water-soluble plant foods are the finest products we have ever made for the home grower."

i think he's referring to the peter's stuff, which i understand is the same product with a new name.

i've used jacks and it is indeed great stuff. i second the lime in the soil, as well.

i believe that Peter's 20-20-20 sold to Scott's Lawn Products and they slightly changed the formula. Jack, the former owner of Peter's, was then able to produce his old liquid fert and used his own name as the brand. also, i have used it for many years and was happy to see the good stuff on the market. it has definitely been around for many years before 1997.
