IWS Flood and Drain System (Setup help)

Hello guys.

I have a 12 pot IWS water system that I am trying to fit inside a 2m x 1.2m x 2m (WxLxH) grow tent. Using this video, http://youtu.be/2i4_PItg9g8, connecting all the parts seem simple enough. However, my problem is I would like to have the water tank and the brain tank all outside the tent. I was told that to keep the big water tank out of the tent is not a problem, but that the brain needed to be in the tent. Is this true?

Whether or not, is there a way that is possible to have just the pots in the tank? Also, any noobish advice to add would be very much welcomed (like do I have keep the brain above pot level or something like that). The more help the better. And for that, I will keep posting up my set up and how my Lemon OG Kush's are doing

i have a 24 pot but only using 18 pots and both my brain and tank are outside my tent. i have no problems whatsoever. the only valid reason i can think of for the brain to be inside is if the grower didn't have enough pipe to run it out side.

as for the brain being above pot. i dont fink thats a good idea. reason being it will fill ur pots faster but when its time to drain you may find u will have a problem with the brain pump trying to suck the water back in the tank.
so i fink its best to have the brain level.
