It's Time For A Change, Help!!!

I had 4 26w cfls per plant, worked very well....I switched to hps and it just took off....one thing I noticed was that the heat was actually less with my 250hps compared to my 16cfls....

how hot is ur growroom? is it a room or closet?

Yep it will be.

To get the same amout of light out of CFLS will produce more heat beacuse they are less afficent. (Well this is what I beleave to be true at the moment any way, If some one else thinks other wise let me know)

You would be better off speding the money on a air cooled reflector and better venting.

I run a 400HPS in a very small room 70x90x190cm without a air cooled reflector and I haven't had any heat issues. with my venting system.

6 inch extraction fan
4 inch intake fan
2x 8" desk fans to keep the air moving under the light.

grow room is about 4 feet by 6 feet. the heat get up to 90 some times. im doing organic in deep water,just finished my grow but want to tweak it a little. i got a 400 watt hps for both stages. thanks for the feed back people keep it coming..
