It's better in the north west

Depends on what side of the state you want to be on. The west side is crowded and over priced. The east side is less crowded and a bit less expensive to live.

I live in the PAC-NW, western Washington in fact, south of Seattle. My house (I own) is rather roomy and was a steal. My rent in Long Beach C.A was more expensive. Than my mortgage lol ! I can grow weed in my backyard like squash and know one cares. Used dirt from my backyard and grew this large Afghani in a 15 gallon pot outside. It was gifted to me, I barely watered it and it was beautiful. Cannabis loves the clean air up here

I'm on the east side. I own my house also. If I had a tall enough fence I could grow out back per the rules and some day I will. Zillow.com will let you look around at house prices. The equivalent to my house in say California would cost easily twice what I paid for mine if not three times as much. In the mid west or south east the equivalent house would be less. FYI... My house is 2165 square feet with 4 bedrooms, 2 full baths, 26,000 gallon in ground pool, 7 car garage on an over sized lot. I paid $175,000.00 for it.

Hell yeah, moved to the Puget Sound area from Iowa back in May and I fucking love it here so far.

Absolutely one of the most beautiful places on this planet.
