last night my timer jumped ahead by 12 whole hours. When it should have started the dark cycle it went back to the start of the light cycle. Luckily I randomly checked it and saw the light still on. Anyone had this kind of problem with timers? I have the $6 brinks from walmart. Its mechanical so I don't understand how this could of happened. Obviously this could be a major fuckup if it happens again. I bought several of these & don't have funds for more

ditch them..sorry bout the funds but walmart timers are not a comparible to horticulture timers.. i had a timer problem very similiar ..mine just stoped working all together, except if u flipped the manual switch. Just dump them when u can , and get some say from hydrofarm.com or a affliate vendor for them

Get a new one. Mine stopped working all together and then started producing much heat and the smell of burning plastic... I replaced it w/ a GE timer yesterday. We'll see if it holds up. Also how much wattage are you pulling through it. They claim its rated for 1875w but I wouldn't use a Brinks timer for more than 600w.

Mine burned out on a 600w lamp w/ 2 fans

right now I'm not running much at all, so wattage shouldn't be an issue. Guess I'll try using one of the others I bought and use this for the fan as fan doesn't need to be exact. Are there any quality timers at lowes etc. Trying to avoid ordering stuff. Thanks
