my plant doesnt seem to be growing any taller but its growing alot of leaves etc underneath, is this normal? it did grow weird looking leaves but ive removed them, they were sort of half formed. when it sprouted it only had 1 leaf instead of the normal 2 and it looked like a blender blade.

any help is appreciated

It's a deformed mutation!
It's all huge fan leaves up top and tiny weird underbush, beneath.

Do you grow near a nuclear power station?

the leaves underneath seem really small, how much light should i be useing. atm i have 4 13w 6500k bulbs and got 2 30w cfls on the way, im only growing 1 plant in my little box so was hoping this was enough?

Your plant looks very healthy but is likely not getting enough light
What are you using for lights? Try to add some side-lighting if possible

We once had a similar plant with lots of large upper leaves with very little undergrowth, but it ended up being rather yummy smoke
I would not consider your plant as a mutant, as I'm sure it will produce some decent buds, but your yield will likely be on the smaller side

this is how my lighting is set up, i started another seed as i thought this one was done for with it growing the way it is, the 4 bulbs are 13w 6500k intended for just 1 plant in there, ive just ordered 2 30w 6500k bulbs which i will add once they arrive.

It would be nice if you could upgrade all four of the 13w for 30w or even the 23w, which are not expensive, and then use the 13w for side lighting

Remember that you will need some 2700k bulbs for the flower mode.
I would suggest moving the young seedling out of that room to make space for your "large" plant c/w some side lighting

As for making $250.000, not sure why that's an issue, are you jealous?

Yeah man, you have no where near enough light...
4, 13w bulbs doesn't even scratch the surface. Try about 20, 13w bulbs and you will be getting close.

Or just go get a 400w HID and all will be taken care of.

I had that problem to all I did was lowered my lights a bit and added some on the bottom side of my grow box and they grew like crazy. And I would try finding something Alec for reflective material. That looks like it's not reflecting the light properly but breaking it up and scattering it.

and go with 26w bulbs not 13w you will notice a huge difference

You gotta have at least eighty watts for the first month if you're veggin'. A mature mom needs a minumum of three hundred watts just to maintain proper health.

ive decided to re do my grow box, well my mate wants to do it so hes going to build one but use LED ufo from vipar, as its only 1 plant i hope this would be enough, he is going to take the plant off me and im going to start from seed again, as the seed i popped already looks alot better than the plant i have now as it actually grew 2 leaves at the start and it doesnt look like a blended blade, i will add 2 extra 30 watt bulbs and ive ordered 2 more and going to add th 13w ones to the bottom as side lights, i hear mixed reviews about led lights tho, some people say they are good, some say rubbish, not sure what to beleive but going off peoples vids on you tube they seem to work, but then again ive seen vids of people growing with one 23w bulb and it working

I don't think many would say LED are rubbish, in fact most would love to grow with them if they were not so damn expensive.
I believe in 3 to 5 years that LED will become closer in cost to HID, plus less operating costs and less heat

CFL are fun for a small grow, as you need to give them allot of attention by frequently moving the light into the most effective position.
I have considered growing a plant with 23w just to see what I could produce, but then again a bit of a wasted effort

45w minimum per plant your not even close I would go to home depot or lowes and for 10$ buy a new CFL light with 200w+ 6500k spectrum for veg and get some 2700k for flowering. Your plants are suffering from lack of light for sure.

oh and btw those 13w spiral cfls don't actually use 13w its way less the 200w spiral cfl only uses 40-55w I have 2 of them in my grow and a 240w blackstar LED
