is this normal?

hey guys this is my first plant and i was wondering if this is normal. the plant is about 7 - 8 weeks old and as i live in australia, i planted the seed at bit later then i should have but i'm only really growing it for fun.
the plant seems to have small purplish leaves and all the "white hairs" on the plant have turned brown. the bigger leaves all started turning yellow and falling off so i removed most of them, i got told this is from too much watering, so i only water every second day.

i was just wonder if its normal for the plants to have small purple leaves and what it means?

phosphorus lock-out, methinks. the pot looks too small, the soil lacks perlite, and i wonder what your watering schedule is like.

the plant looks like its flowering, ive read that when the plant flowers "buds" the bigger lives give up there life for the new. i dont know from experience though.
