My autoflowering plant has sprouted (this is the 4th day) but the seed casing hasn't been shed. Just wondering if this is normal,

Oh if it helps my grow room is 0.6m x 0.84m x 2m with a Philips SWF230 floodlight running a 150w SON-T Master PIA lamp mounted approx 0.75 m above the top of my pots. I have a fan circulating air. Air temp around my plants is between 68 - 85 but can go up to 87 - 89.

as is stated above,,its nothing to worry about. maybe you want to try vent some of that hot air,,anything above 88 degree F isnt really good for the plants.,I cant remeber what the temp is that chrolophll(excuse my spelling) breaks down at. also if the plants think the temps are too high transpiration will slow and eventually stop beacuse the air is to dry and they will try to conserve water.
hope that helps take it easy.

With GREAT care, you can aid in the shedding....just be very careful...it's very easy to damage theose first tiny cotyledon leaves.....but, typically, your seedling will shed it on it's own.....

Thanks for the advice guys. Its my first attempt at a grow well second i killed the first plants with heat. But sorted that problem now

I've reduced the heat but i had to raise the light by about 25cm to do so. You think that'll be a problem?

Don't worry about the seed casing. My auto ak47 germinated 1 week ago and the seed casing was dangling on one cotyledon up till 2 days ago when it already had 2nd set of serrated leaves. I accidentally knocked it off too or otherwise I'd bet it would still be dangling lol.
