Is this mainstem normal or odd??? (I'm a first time grower)

Ok, so this plant is about 3 weeks into vegetative growth and is a strain known as Purple High. Anyhow, I tried to FIM it about 4 days ago and when I decided to take a look at it I noticed the main stem forked and also appeared flat...struck me as odd, but like I said it's my first time. I'm attaching a few photos of the plant; these pictures are the best I can do, but you can see whats going on pretty clearly. I'm just wondering if this was a result of the FIM, if this is a normal occurrence, or if my plant is just a bit different haha.

looks a little odd to me, but what do i know. also odd looking is not necessarily a bad thing. it looks green and healthy which i think is more important.

thats pretty wicked looking. Looks doubled up or something. Never have seen that. It may end up making some wicked ass buds!!!

Well thanks for your info guys, I guess it wouldn't hurt to Fim both of the main stems in hopes of getting a great yield lol.
