about to repot this and realized that theres green stuff just starting to form on the inside.... this is probably due to the fact that the starter pot is see through -__-

Will repotting save it?
anything save it?

Looks like algae to me. I'd remove the affected dirt and repot it. I'd probably water it with some hygrozyme and h202 (if you have it). You could also reinoculate with mycorrhizae if you're into that sort of thing. I think she'll be fine.

hmmmm alright gonna go do that now lol, repot that is!

there are holes but they are pretty small, and the roots started poking through the holes Xl
so improve drainage, repot and remove damaged roots?
should i just wash them and if it washes off leave the roots ? or cut the affected parts off to be safe??

THank you guys so much for replying!

p.s. it seems that the green stuff is stuck to the container, so it could wash off i think!

Alright! so I repotted the plants and the green stuff all stayed on the sides of the cup and didn't show in the soil too much, it was also of a powdery consistency... almost like moss?
so i brushed off some dirt that seemed affected and gave them(two were affected by the green stuff) about 3 times as much soil... hoping this works! will update! =)

The green stuff is just alge & as long as its not all over the roots it wont hurt anything at all,no need to use anything other than cold clean water to cleans it.

If doing hydro & it gets on the roots in heavy sections of roots it will slow nutrient uptake,ya just rinse it off in the shower & she's as good as new.

Every once in a while i get alge exactly like that on the plants i have in veg,its from too much light comming in contact with areas that have fertilizer on the surface area, the alge eats the fertilizer, its no big deal at all & many growers deal with it on a regular basis.
