Is this a crappy fan?

It works, be aware that it does not pull full CFM when you put a bunch of tubes behind them but they are more then adaquate for most growrooms. I have 3 duct fans in my system, 2 6" (276cfm) and 1 8" fan (500cfm).

The 8in exhausts grow room air through a carbon filter.

A 6in cools a 1000watt mh/hps with air from the outside pumped in and back outside.

The last unpictured one (6in) runs climate controlled air through 15ft of 6" tube into the growroom.

These all work fine, 12 inches from the tops temps are 82-77

Its a booster fan, the rating on it (prolly 250ish CFM) is for already moving air, it has no real torque to pull through a filter.

You should run a vortex style centrifugal fan that wont lost pressure.

Also it depends on the size of the grow room, that fan would be much better as an intake fan, with a vortex style fan for exhaust.

Man speedhabit that looks like a scary setup, are those loose power chords hanging over old copper waterpipes? That looks like a disaster just waiting to happen.

Totally Disastrous

Everything is grounded to copper pipes anyway.

Plus all the outlets are GFI so im not to concerned

Edit: Plus I run 3 completely different air circuits in my grow room for less then 75 bucks, thats half the price of a vortex fan, this is a great way
to cheat the price of the growroom somewhat. Im sure my setup would do better with a good blower but its not worth it quite frankly when the temps
are fine at the peak of summer.

Well see if it can make my widowcindy to turn purple in September.
