Is this a cal mag deficiency?

Hey, I am growing 2 white widow plants in a 3x3 tent under a 400w hps in 70/30 coco pearlite mix. They are currently in the 6th week of flower and the fan leafs are getting rust spots. Is this a sign of cal mag problems or something else. I am using the ff trio for hydro nutes in tap water with a ph of around 5.8. Thanks for any help.

Have you used cal-mag yet? Add some cal-mag to your water and adjust your pH to 6.0. See how it goes.

bro dont add calmag to your water and adjust to 6.0 that will basically just lock your plant out for other nutrients what i do as my tapwater is f*cked up and always gives me calmag def i use a sprayer bottle and just adjust the water in the spraybottle to 6.2 and add calmag as calmag is best when foliar feeded
ass to not get budrot sinds your that late in flowering i would just try to spray the fan leaves and not the buds

Calmag best as a foliar spray? I havent heard that before. Can anyone chime in on that? Id like to hear a few more opinions.

I love foliar feeding. Do to all my plants
A fine mist of tap water when the lights go off to not burn...
I would..see faster improvements and dont have to worry about messing up your soil. You can grow to harvest giving most of the nutes through foliar feeding, effectively curing root bound plants, allows lower ec/ppm

thanks for all the help! If I do spray the leaves w/ cal mag or add it to the feedings will the brown spots go away? Or will it just stop it from spreading?

They will get much of their health and color back, some spots will be reduced but whats dead is dead...honestly though, while you could use some cal. You have bigger issues..


Lower nute ratios. Your driving them crazy with the concentrations down there. N blocking cal then combining with p making insoluble calcium phosphate..thats most of your problems, a high iron content locks p and manganese, could possibly play a role. I would say you have a small manganese def with the terrible phosphorus deficiency and a small calcium def. Seeing older leaves would help some..

Ph swings can be helpful to make sure you get all the nutes as well
