I have a little baby that is 15 days old (from when it first came out of the soil). its been under a few daylight cfls and it is looking healthy. I have fed it some BMO organic super plant tonic. i setup my 250w hps today and i was wondering if that is too much light for such a young plant. the light is about 1 foot away from it and i have 2 fans blowing constantly. i also have 3 cheese sprouts over in the corner of my area with 2 cfls above them. So my question is that too much light for my strawbery haze (2000 lumen cfl to a 20,000 lumen hps) and too much light for my little 1 day old sprouts in the corner? should i keep sprouts in separate area of hps? or should i continue vegging strawberry with cfls

250W is not too much light for those plants. Do the heat test with your hand and maybe ease them into the 250W if you are not sure. Best of luck my friend.

LOL....the sun would be 999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999+++++ watts, so I don't think you will be given em to much light. They love the sun...

not too much light if used correctly is good i use a 400w hps(dual spectrum lamp) from seed to flowering.
just be carefull with the light distance and you can use any wattage of lamp.
(a guide for hps lighting distances).
