S Star Dog Well-Known Member Nov 13, 2020 #3 I'd expect the bigger one to require less maintenance, it would give more of buffer with high ec and ph issues, it would be more stable. Edit... But all being equal a smaller one should keep the plants smaller or has done ime using pots.

Hydro, just was curious if the larger res would play a role in plant size as a larger pot for soil would. I assumed easier to maintain. Thanks!

BobThe420Builder Well-Known Member Nov 15, 2020 #7 Like I said I've do e same strain in 3gal and 5gal buckets Not a huge difference Now if you veg for 8+ weeks, sure , a 7 gal bucket will grow a tree, but a 5 gal would too Now in soil, yes it make a big difference for sure
