Honestly you don't need to mist it every day. You need the roots searching for water.. Just mist it real good so its nice and moist to the touch but not soaking, place your seed in there and let it be, and only re-mist when a tiny bit of the top soil is just barely moist, almost dry. But not too dry though since you don't want to dehydrate them. You want root hairs growing and they can rot VERY easily.
When you keep misting the water gets absorbed by your medium regardless if you spray it or dump it on there lol. Either the root is rotting, or the root system is just developing for now, I would not touch it for a few more days. The less contact with the seedling the better.
