i have a 400 wt in a 3 x 2 space and it seems to output maximum light along with mylar...the thing is my plants are very close to the light...i have an open hood and the top main colas have got right in there...if i position them in each corner of the hood the dont burn...ive only used my light a total of 6 months so im wodering is that normal...the buds are getting very nice bud formation though huge colas
is my light weak or what?

You might be a little low with your light if you want full coverage of the space. The outside plants are not getting as much light seeing as your hood would block some of it if some plants were already growing into it. However, if you only have a few plants and you can keep them from being burned, then it is all good. Ideally, you want the light as close as possible without burning your plants and still giving enough coverage to the outside plants.
