Is it too late too SCROG?

I vegged this plant way too long. It’s gonna stretch in flower of course and it’s almost to my light on my veg tent.

Can I still scrog it? Even though some branches are really tall? They will still scrog nice? I assume cause I waited too long I have to trim some of the smaller branches off the bottom right?

Absolutely as long as the branches are not brittle I have weaved two at least as big with excellent results, I'd Scrog then trim the obvious littles that will never grow into your screen...

After I see how tall his tent is, I deleted my post. I think your suggestion is better.

Tent is about 5 feet I believe. So just weave the fuckers and clip the small ones eh? Probably use em all as clones so they don’t go to waste.

Think I can hit 4oz? This is going to be my first scrog.

Its not ideal timing but its not impossible.

I would super crop your tall branches in several places to bend them down and shape them so they go in different direction on a horizontal level with your lower branches. Fill in what you can with your mains , now horizontal, and allow your lower branches to come up to the net. You will have to bend the mains 4-5-6 times to get where you want to be and where they go from vertical to horizontal try to do it in a few bends not just one bend of 90degrees.
Take your time, some plants will snap. Crush stems and wiggle them with thumb and two fingers.
Later on when your flipped and stretch is over trim off the BS below the net. You don't want that lower growth which isn't getting good light taking energy away from the tops.
Post some pics when your all done too!

I did figure I would have to veg a few more weeks to fill the net. Do intend to get the bottom branches into the net. How low should I super crop the tall branches.

Maybe start the bending around 12-15" from top of pot, I think you will fill a lot of your net with your main branches when they are bend over and kind of wrapped around the outskirts of your net.

Kind of like this where the dots are lower branches and arms are big branches. But maybe not so 90 degree

Don't weave them as you'll do tons of damage. Rig a net with large spacing to lower over the plant tehn bend them carefully and use twist ties to secure to the screen. I used sheep fencing to ScroG 6 tall plants with my last row and had to cut some of the wires to get more spread but have a 100ft roll of it so can replace the screen easily enough. Broke a couple of main branches but everything grew just fine above the breaks. Split right open at the back of the breaks so I just backed off the bends a bit to relieve pressure and wrapped with masking tape to keep dirt out of the wounds.

Recently cropped and this is what's left. Screen is 4x4ft with a bamboo frame hung with chains from the ceiling. All the pots are on a wheeled dollie so I could get around the screen to work on branches as they grew and later to adjust angles, snip leaves etc. Helps to be skinny sometimes. :)

All those branches were tied to the screen before cropping and I left a few buds on to try revegging. Just yesterday found a half dozen new sprouts on one of the two AK47s but the Critical Mass are dead and the two CBD plants still have living buds but no signs of regrowth yet tho I just got seeds for better CBD plants so will be chopping them down anyways.

Yeah you can still scrog it. Due to space constraints I do this all the time. That said it is a long winded job. Quite often after 5/6 week veg the branches will be stiff & brittle. You have to loosen them up by gently bending them back & forth little by little to soften up the spot where you are going to bend the branch. I've recently started using pliars to crush the inside of the branch without breaking the outer layer. After bending all the branches over, zip tie them to your net. If you've got time leave them in veg for another week for the plant to recover & then flip them. If its so big it fills the net as soon as you get the net over just flip straight away. It may look a little ropey the first week of flower but once the stretch kicks in it will be fine.
