Is it time for Nutes? or ami having timing probs or lack of nutes?

Ive include a few pics. the first 3 are all from the same plant. the forth pic, you can see yellowing at the very tips of the leaves. the last pic is an overview pic. these are all clones, about 2 weeks old. its a soil grow and in veg phase. my water is phd at 6.2 -6.5 . i put superthrive in when i planted them. im using cfl for the veg stage. now im having issues getting them 18hrs of light, on average they are getting 16. i have a 6 plug outlet deal w timer in the mail, so that will fix that prob... but i was wondering if i should had nutes. i use foxfarm nutes. i thought i read that after 6 nodes you can add nutes... is this correct. im using basic planters soil w 25% oceans forrest mixed in.

Ive went through the plant prob thread and ive come up 2 differant scernarios. either Potassium deficiency orboron (never heard of anyone expierancing this one). after reading the guides a few times, im think i need to use nutes... if so these are babies. show i use it once a week or everyother watering. i usually water 3 times a week.

I don't have any experience with clones, but just wondering what type of light are u using, cus in the last pic they look a little stretched. And what happened to that first plant? He's got leaves chopped in half and everything lol.

Here' my best guess... if u just transplanted them 2 weeks ago into new soil I would think they should have enough nutes for now, there's no way they used up all that in 2 weeks. Did they just start showing these signs after you transplanted them? Cus that could just be stress, especially if their roots aren't fully developed yet.

Again, I've never dealt with clones before, but from what I've heard that's my best guess.

your soil is your main source of nutrients, the yellowing tips of the plants could be alot of different things but normally is not an indicator of lack of nutrients.esspecially in a soil grow. do not add nutrients. if anything just repot the plants with some fresh potting soil. i also noticed your plants are stretching quite a bit. you might want to consider bumping up your lighting.

heres what i got... i bought these clones. thats why they are stretched and some are cut. ive had them in soil for 5 days today. they were rooted through rockwool from the vendor that grew them. you may be right in the sense of stress. the lights they were under in the despensaire prob werent adequete. clones are tough to deal with anyways.

they were stretched when i got them... i think i should be okay though. i dont think i need to repot... its only been 5 days in soil. maybe they are just getting used to their new home.

yeah i would splurge on a TL setup if you havent already done so. at the very least use a stick or some bamboo to support your plants just to be on the safe side. as far as the repotting issue. you know your plants better than anyone. but i wouldnt add nutes yet esspecially since you are using 25% ocean forrest soil. thats pretty potent stuff and if you add nutes you could mess your plants pretty bad i.e nute lock. i know that one from first hand experience! its a pain in the ass too fix in a soil grow !

thats a sick avatar you have... ya ive expieranced the nute lock myself.. thats why i just wanted to use a little bit of oceans forrest. when i switch to flower ill use 100% oceans forest. but a lot of people use oceans forest for vegging also

oh ya.. what is TL?

im growing a clone of purple cotton candy and it's not that hard. it's rather easy IMO. but ocean forest is the way to go had no problems with nute lock or anything. it was seriously perfect for the transplant stage and veg stage. my clone is still in it's rockwool and in the full 100% ocean forest soil after 2 weeks of just straight water i started it's nute cycle... i am using Fox farms Grow big with a 1/2tsp to 1 gallon dilution and it's perfect it just feeds my plant perfectly. i strongly sudgest the 1/2 tsp ratio if you use any fox farm nutes with fox farm soils.

ill try it in another week and half. that well give me over two weeks in soil. maybe that was my prob in the past. i just thought the oceans forest was too strong. i did have heat issue in the past also.. that may have contributed to it.

how long are you going to contiue w the 1/2 tsp????

i started with the 1/2 tsp about 3 weeks ago and i will continue untill i flower in about 3-4 weeks. from there i will give it tiger bloom(fox farm Prod.) with the same 1/2 tsp formula. my friends who also grow have been around the block with the fox farm products and that 1/2 tsp has just been the best and given them the most yeild... its a perfect nute, to complement a perfect soil. just my opinion

how often are you adding in the 1/2tsp? once a week or everyother watering??

every other watering i use it and remember 1/2 tsp to 1 gallon dilution...

don't get me wrong i don't work for fox farm but my friends and i just have the greatest results with them. i mean my local hydroponic supply shop even swares by his fox farm products. not just because he sells them but because thats what he uses for his personal grows.

i will thanks. i have the major foxfarm products. but im going to try the 1/2tsp.. you never know how much to add. everyone says differant things. so im going to try your way in about a week on the veg girls. my flowering ones are in flush mode.

So how's it going?

those look fine for clones. I've always dealt with some damage to the leaves from the original cutting, luckily there will be tons more from fresh veg.

use nutes after 3 weeks is a good rule of thumb imo. until then most soils have plenty in them!

Tonite im transferring them to 4gal pots and putting them into flowering. They are looking good.. i dont have any pics at the moment. Ill take some tonite after the transfer. a couple of them, seem like they want more nutes. but what ive been doing is using ff grow big, 1/2 tsp everyother watering. throughout the 5 week of veg, ive also added fresh ocean forest to the top twice now. giving it added natural nutes from the soil.

Im pretty happy w the grow right now, cant wait to flower them. they want to flower so bad. im going to take cuttings also and get them cloning.

ill keep you guys updated
