Is it safe to start more seeds while seedling is roughly 1-2 weeks old?

It just popped its 3 and 4th true leaves, been feeding it weak light so it don't grow as fast, it's not worth me doing the grow for 2 plants, need more plants under my 400w hps.

You could veg 2 plants until they are proper size for your 400 hps, most likely topping and tying them off to get the best results. But this increases the actual veg time somewhere near 2 months I would guess although I should warn you that I have never used < 600 watts so get hands on advise there. The reason we run more plants is so we can run less actual veg time. Additionally, generally we strive to keep an even canopy top so that we can run the lights optimally close. One problem you have going already is if you start another set of plants they will be a different height from the first set. Of course you can conquer this by tying the first set down or extra topping or raising the second set of plants. Whichever choice you choose make it quickly because managing your canopy top will become increasingly difficult.

I ran a 400 when first starting out and had great success with 6 plants but it was a 4x4 area, the issue was not really lack of light IMO but yes could have been better with a 600 which I run two now. It was the unruly jungle lol.

My three plants were all planted two weeks after each other.

It won't harm anything it will just mean all your plants are different heights.

Top of Widow image.jpeg I started with a 400 HPS and I would flower 2 plants in 5 gallon hempy buckets.
I used a screen to help keep the plants supported.

( I spent hours making my own screen to fit my 3x3 tent, don't do that.)

Just buy a bag of garden mesh at Home Depot and zip tie the screen tightly across the 4 poles of the tent.
That is how my garden mesh is now.

My largest batch was just over 10 ounces but I usually got between 6-8 ounces.
I took clones and did extended veg times, the Masterkush flowered in 9 weeks so That was the veg length. I used topping, LST and super cropping to create a nice big 40 cola plant with a

I started running a SOG under a 600 in an ebb n flow system on 3/3 so I am only about 50 days into this style of growing.

I have 45 plants on my 4x4 table.
I started with 4 and kept adding till I filled the table.

I am flowering In a 4" cube of rock wool.

I have 3 different height strains but they are within 5 " of each other so they seem to go well together in the same system.

As soon as I harvest my first 4 Plants I will decide what to do as far as strains.
Happy Growin.

I forgot to answer your question, as usual I am baked.
Do you know the strains or are they bag seeds?
I started with 20 bagseeds, if I hadn't planted them all at once I would have had to wait along time.
I had 16 males and 4 females, I chose the best looking of the 4 to keep and clone and I just flowered the other 3 together in one 10 gallon Rubbermaid container.

I germinate sitting on top of a T5 fixture at about 82-84 degrees now with no problems.
I just wrap the bag with wet paper towel and seeds in a black garbage bag to keep out all light.
The original 20 were germinated on my cable box in a bag.
I have read that heat can cause more males, not sure if it's true.
I find warmer is perfect with feminised seeds.
