Is it possible to re-germinate ? help pls!

I had a germinated seed in rockwool for about 2 or 3 days under light and it didnt sprout.. when i picked up the rockwool to see what was wrong and the seed wasnt even connected to the root! would it be possible to put it back in a moist paper towel to grow a root again ? let me know if a pic would help nd ill put 1 up

If the taproot has been severed, it's not going to grow again, your time would be better spent on a new seed.
