Is it ok to stand your Carbon Filter vertically?

Damn thing weighs 50lbs. which means hanging it from my tent is out of the question.

I have mine standing up right next to the fan, short ducting, and does job just fine. I run it as a scrubber for the whole room my tent is in right now.

Absolutely. The orientation of the filter will make no difference. Just make sure to give it room if your placing it near the tent wall. It's a nice plus to be able to hang them high to exhaust the hot air, but for filtration and ventilation it will be fine.

EDIT: I also meant to add that my Canfan is sitting vertically on L-brackets mounted on the wall and it works flawlessly.
