Is it ok to manicure buds at harvest time with a light on?

I heard that at harvest after the chop, light degrades THC/CBN potency am I best to manicure in my grow room under a green light? Or is it ok if I manicure with a light on?

Thanks

you will be fine with a regular light, a 60-100 watt light bulb will not degrade the thc THAT much during the short time you are trimming it.

I trim in my grow area, which has a green light in it incase i need to do something in there during flower, so i can only say green light wont hurt your buds. But as for regular light, im sure you'll hear both, i say no, just because ive never personally done it in regular light, no other logic behind that answer other then that but yea lol. You can get green cfl's at home depot for 6 bucks tho, good investment for flowering anyways.

Your plants grow through their life cycles under your lights trimming them up for a few hours won't hurt them unless your gonna stick them right up under the bulbs, I've trimmed all my plants many times with the hps lights still running and haven't noticed any adverse effects. My vote is put a proper light on and trim your plants and not your fingers lol

As soon as they are cut they will begin to immediately degrade. Will trimming for a few hours hurt them or lower potency? no I don't think so. But do you want them looking as green and vibrant? I like them as green as the minute they are chopped so I have a regular light facing up and work there. I see just fine and I know they will look perfect. Like sugar frosted evergreen flowers.

Yup, cut them wherever you want. Light, heat, and time slowly degrade thc into cbn (makes you sleepy, good for swelling, hair, and bones). So you prolly wouldn't want to leave your nug in hot light any longer than you need to but you won't notice any loss in potency over a trimming session.
