It seems to me that in past year or 2 everything has become some kinda Kush. OG Sour blueberry Vanialla bubba blah blah blah blah blah. It reminds me of the 90s when everything was some kinda skunk.

I dont know about anyone else but Kush just seems to be a name people are tossing on any and every mid to mid high grade weed they find and frankly I am not impressed. Luckly I grow my own stuff but I friends that are buying from thier normaly suppliers. They always try and trade me for what Ihave and the second I hear Kush I am like yea no thanks you go ahead and keep that I will enjoy my White Widow and White castle thanks.

lmao! As true as this is, idiots "calling" stuff "kush" just because it's not dirt weed is completely different from seed breeders crossing with popular genetics to create something unique but pass on desired traits from a certain type of cannabis. Kush and Skunk are both well-known, very potent indicas with short flowering time and are high-yielding strains, these are very desirable traits and some may want to carry them over to a new type of weed with a distinct taste, smell and high. my advice is don't accept someone's word for it when they say "this is super killer cripple kush!" or whatever funky names they come up with and just grow everything out yourself so you KNOW you have the real deal, be open-minded and grow everything don't go "oh boy, another kush/skunk strain... not even gonna bother growing this one." you never know what'll make your next favorite killer smoke. ;)

yeah i have to agree im not really the biggest kush fan except for og kush. to me true kush is like a heavy wine, a port or merlot.
i wouldnt really wanna smoke it all the time and i think alot of these kush strains on the market are not true to the genotype.

Decades ago I had friends who dealt and it was common for them to purchase two different strains and then bag some of each alone and mix some of each together and when they learned which of their customers liked or wanted certain popular strains, presto chango, whatever they had on hand became those strains and they would pick one of what they had on had that would best pass for what the customer wanted.

Last year I visited a friend who was all excited about a bag of AK47 he just purchased. After sampling it I didn't want to burst his bubble but it was not AK47. I have smoked AK47 that I grew and I have smoked AK47 others have grown and what my friend had was more like Ghetto Gold or Roadside Red ... but he was told he was purchasing AK47 so he was happier than a pig in shit.

There are no truth in advertising laws in regards to herb dealers.

Well said brick top............the shit others going around most places is the reason I started growing my own stuff....to control the quality and eliminate being forced to accept run of the mill crap that somebody names just to raise prices....

Not unlike White Rhino, White Russian, Snow White, "White Widow," and "White Castle?"

Yes if you had all those and called them all white widow.

Having grown White Widow and White castle I can tell you for a fact they different.

Basicly what I ment was back in the 90s when I went to a dealer no matter what it was it was always some kinda skunk. In the late 90s in NYS it was always some kinda vermont indoor hydor or some kinda hydor. Now its like everything is somekinda kush.

I guess its why I grow my own and my friends always wana trade.

Kinda just a food for thought post.
