Is it common for first leaves (not cotyledons) to drop?

Is it common for the first leaves of a healthy seedling (not the cotyledons, but the first jagged leaves that appear) to yellow before there are 5 healthy leaf sets?

Just wondering. Someone told me that it is, but I do not remember having had that happen when growing in soil.

not reaaly unless they are bout finished,the leaves do the work
