Is it bad to water your plants with old tap water?

Lets say you stocked up and filled a bunch of water bottles with tap water becuase there wasnt a close water source. Are there any bad effects that may happen to the plants when you use this water?

its actually better cause the chlorine in it gos away after a while

Nope , its cool , just let the jugs sit over 24 hours, chlorine will evaporate.
