is it bad to burp your jars to often?

im really curious on how this curing process is going to work. im drying my first harvest and it still smells like "grass". now my question is.....is it bad to burp your jar to many times in a day? because i am just so curious that i cant leave my jars alone for more than a few hours with out wanting to give it a whiff....

the humidity thats inside the buds isnt all bad, it helps with making sure the flavor and smell are there by penetrating the tiny leaves and stems. I would try and burp according to schedule of how wet your buds are.

the more you open the more moisture you release...you wont hurt much but dont over do it

I'm in the same boat...been curing about a week now, and they smell like nothing but grass. I'm down to burping once a day for an hour cause they seem dry, but I may cut down on that even. Is an an too long? I cut one branch early and fucked that up. I left the jars open to long and it dryed out too much. I kept it closed for days, but the buds never got moist again. It's a good high, but smells like shit and is harsh to smoke. I do NOT want that to happen to my main harvest.

use a hygrometer and also search for that word in RIU for an excellent tutorial on drying and curing.

remoisten with a piece of orange peel, and you may be able to restart the cure.

sometimes i put a blunt wrap in my cure jar to give it more moisture and add a fruity smell to it lol..o yea and if ur bud is smelling grassy next time dont dry as long..over drying usually makes ur bud smell grassy
