Is CO2 Gas detectable?

Is CO2 Gas exhaust detectable from FLIR or any other detection device?

This would have been a good question to ask BEFORE I bought the equipment to do so.

Of course Co2 is detectable. It is not however detectable from FLIR but comparable lasers can easily detect the gas. Doubt any police forces use these detection devices though.

I'm sure CO2 is emitted through tons of different devices, like cars, or gas dryers, or fireplaces; so they couldn't get a search warrant on CO2 exhaust alone; anyone else have any input?
