Is Aeroponics wasteful on feed?

Hi,

I am assembling my (first) SB system. I will be running 3 separate reservoirs for 3 SB flowering systems. Each reservoir is 28 gal. I suppose that there is no need to fill each fully, SB doesn't really mention this in the book. I presume it'll be something between 1/2–3/4. Let's presume it is 3/4 full.

I got a DutchPro feed, which is basically A (1L) & B (1L). You are supposed to (according to the instructions) mix 240 ml (quarter bottle, basically) of each, A & B, for every 21 gal (3/4 of my 28 res).

So I am thinking: if I am running 3 at a time and am expected to change the reservoirs, probably, every 1-1/2 weeks, this feed won't do me for longer than that .

Is it meant to consume so much feed? Is there a workaround? All info will be appreciated. Thanks.

I run 4 upgraded stinkbud systems with 50gal res's and i fill as far as I can. It makes it much easier to deal with and I run a full botanicare pure blend pro line and additives. From veg to harvest it cost me less than. $1.25 per dried ounce in nute cost. I have a great recipe in my thread, my three stages of flower.

I also you like to ask another question, which is a little off topic regarding nutes. It's about roots in the vegger. In previous SB veger he says use 2 boxes stacked on top of each other to give roots more space to hang in. However, in the newest book he says don't bother and use only 1. He says that the Vegger (27 gal) is basically the same as the Cloner (27 gal), the only difference is that you run feed in the Vegger. He says not to be scared to trim the roots if they get too long...

I saw some 6 months back in some thread in Rollitup, I think it was you who actually said it, that you should not cut the roots, ever. So now I am totally perplexed as to what to do. Is it one way or another, or possibly both ways are acceptable?

I mean like if I'll be using 27 gal reservoir for vegging. It'll be 1/2 full, so the sprayers aren't submerged. There is no way for the roots not to be submerged in the water.

Oh yes there is. My roots will hit the water in the cloner in less than 10 days. I'm just not a big fan of cutting roots, too much energy is expended repairing them. In the double vegger the roots stay much more separated.
