I'm gonna pump water from my well about 150 yards(to the furthest plant) and tee'ing off the main line(main line is 1" black poly)with 1/2" poly which leads to the plants. Total number of plants is 32(as of right now but possibly up to around 40. I can get sump pumps from a plumber friend for free. So what size pump should I get? How many horsepower?

All someone has to do is follow the hose to find your plants (not a good Idea). only use this pump when your there watering it. I was watching police helicopters on T.V, they found a plant in the mountains and there was a fishing line attached to it, so they followed the line to his other plant.

i really depends if the patch is high up,how much lift you need.a honda x-10 has good lift,is very light, protable and has a 3/4 inch hose adapter.should be able to push water if you dont have too much lift.
if you have a power outlet a electric pump might work, again it all about lift.theres just not too many cheap powerful ones.

Well the plants are on my land so not to worried about someone finding the hose. Bigger concern is helicopters but thats another topic. The ground is pretty much flat. No noticable pitch. I'm actually think of getting ditch whitch and trenching in some schedule 40 until I hit the tree line where I'll come up and make my connections to the poly.
