ionizer or ozone air purifier ???

Now that my plants are starting to flower i do notice a slight smell outside the room. I am running a carbon filter inside the room. Could i clean up the smell with a ionizer or ozone air purifier...also correct me if im wrong but its ok to have the ionizer near the plants but i should keep the ozone away from the plants ??? are these good options and if so which option is best ? Wife doesnt want any smell so i got to fix this before she puts a halt to my hobby ...lol

Never used an ozone purifier, but I can tell you a couple things I have read about them when I was considering one. First, many say its dangerous for your health. I havne't done the approriate research to say one way or the other on that. Another thing is that ozone has its own distinct and kinda offputting smell of its own. These things considered, they do work. However, are you using an appropriately sized carbon filter/fan setup for the amount of space you are cleaning? If the room is sealed half decently(its bound to have leaks) and you have more CFM pulling air out than the amount of air being let in, you should have negative pressure and no bad smell.

Ionizer's are more for taking the dust out of a room. They create a Negative charge. They use this type of set-up in iron ore mines, and coal power plants to get all the particles out of the air.

Ozone makes an extra O2 ion to a O2 Molecule.

The Ozone will eliminate smell from the air. they will give it that fresh smell.

Good Luck on Your Grow.
