Intake and Exhaust question

Is it ok to turn my exhaust fans off during the 12 hour night cycle. I still have my intake fan on drawing air into the room as well as the AC on. Eventually the air moves out of the exhaust without the pull anyways. Please give thoughts.

Your probably better off turning your intake off and using your exhaust so you have negitive pressure in your room.

Thats a good thougth. but the exhasut just wants to pull the ac air out of the room very fast. if i turn exhaust on night cycle temp goes into 80 easily. With the exhaust off i can keep the temp at 65F. This is with 12 hours of light off of course.

My set up. room is 14x14. 2 8" intakes with booster fans and hepa filters. The exhaust is 2 6" can fan High output which cools the 4 1000watt hps lights as well. The room is exhausted through the lights and out the room whether the lights are on or off. For now I have turned the exhaust fans off however the intake booster fans are on which is actually pulling in fresh air from outside but the temp of this air during the day which is actually the night cycle in the room is at 85F. But with the 15,000 BTU ac machine it keeps the room constant at 65F. The air eventually will make its way out the exhaust ports because it is simpilly not blocked off. If i turn the exhaust fans on the CFM ratings of the exhaust fans will change the air in the room every 1 minutes which my AC machine could never keep up with. Thus tem raising quickly to 80F (not good for night cycle, esp. with GDP strain).

Okay yeah i get it, then that will be fine (turning exhaust off during sleep). I think you pretty much got it sussed, if your a/c still runs effectively, your on the money.
Have you considered having your intakes on a timer so the warm daytime outside air also doesnt make your a/c work harder? Hope this makes sense..
