Inside Cupboard Set Up Help

Hey,

I wanna try and setup a nice and stable inside setup inside a cupboard in my room. I only want to grow one or two plants at a time. The cupboard is 85cm High (33inch) / 58cm Across (23inch) / 36cm Deep (14inch).

Now before i go onto how im thinking of designing it would this be big enough. Mostly tall enough for them to grow and for the lights etc etc.

My idea was to get a box that size and put it inside the cupboard. Have a couple of computer fans. 1 intake, 1 outtake and 1 to blow around the air. Have 2 (or so) x 1ft tube lights at the top. With a reflector at the top and the walls covered with foil. Then have a drip feed of nutients feeding to the plants. With the plants in a soil base. How does that sound? Please help im new lol

ok, firstly lets get the strain sorted. If its only 85cm high then you need a really short plant and also as you have limited space you will want feminized seeds as not to waste time by maybe getting male plants (they dont produce buds, only pollen that turns your female buds into seeds, very bad). http://www.cannabis-seeds-bank.co.uk/buddha-seeds-white-dwarf-feminized-4367-p.asp somthing like this would be okay, good for beginers short and is done in 8 weeks, with somthing like this you can grow all 5 seeds maybe 2 or 3 at a time and see how your setup will work. With lights you will want CFL lights, not tubes. CFL's arnt as good as HID lights but they dont give of as much heat, are cheaper and do the trick. I would get 4 150w CFLs 2 blue and 2 red. When in veg use the blue ones and when i flowering use the red ones. With CFL lights you might not need all that ventilation but you will def need the one to have air circulation in the cab, make sure it blows on the plants as to make the stems strong. dont use tin foil, either paint it white or get mylar. With the nutes, my advice is just to get some basic nutes and follow the instructions, water every or every other day and then read the instructions on how to use the nutes. Dont use miricale grow.

I think ive covered everything. Its fairly basic but i would srongly advise spending the money needed on the seeds and lights. In america it is apparently easy to get hold of Y splitters, if so then you may want to do somthing like 6 32w CFL's. The seeds wouldnt be a problem if you had the space but as you dont you need the gaurenteed shortness of them. Drawfs are a good starter i would say then look for somthing that is just naturally short like Barneys farm LSD (recomend you get practice before going onto somthing that will take skill to controll). You will probably get about 0.75 ounces of 2 plants dried depending on the lighting.

Good luck

Thanks for that ill have a look into some smaller plant seeds and i dont want to have an odour so is the best way for that to get an exhaust fan?

Exaust fans wont get rid of the smell, you need a carbon filter but there are other ways. there are other ways to get rid of the odour, one wich i think would be the best as it does not involve a lot of money is a negative ion generator. I dont know much bout them but i know that a £25 one will do the job fine for 2 plants, just leave it ouside the cab and you wont smell a thing.

he is not talking about red and blue bulbs, hes talking about the light spectrum,... ie cool white and warm white,... the packages should have a colour temprature listed ,... higher tempe ie 4000 to 5000kelvin are going to be the ones for veg and the lower colour temps, 2700 to 3000 kelvin will be for budding and yes they have many of these at home depo and lowes,....
