Hey y’all.
I bought one of those all-in-one bags (spawn and substrate) and inoculated it with what I think are old spores. They never colonized (almost 4 weeks and nothing) so I was wondering if it’s ok to use a new syringe to inoculate or just move on completely with a new bag and new spores.
I think they were old spores because I got them sealed, unused spore syringe from a friend, and tried inoculating another couple bags which didn’t take either (6weeks). It’s been a minute since I have grown mushrooms but last syringes I used had way more spores (black dots).
usually I see something in at least 2 weeks (it’s been like 4-5yrs)
