Anyone know if there is an inline fan that doesnt need a speed control adjuster?
I could have sworn I have seen someone with one. REP for any links to one if they exist.

none of them really need a speed controller, people only generally use them to bring the noise level down.. not sure if that's what you're asking, watt brand of inline fan is quiet??

Most all inline fans i've seen come without a speed controller or require one. I'd be surprised to find any fan that NEEDS a speed controller. If a fan needed a controller, then this would simply mean that they've rated the fan above it's true abilities and it's in essence a scam, as need would suggest that it would break wihtout the ability to lower the speed.

Usually if you get the proper CFM fan for the area of your tent, you shouldn't need a fan controller. Also depends on how your environment is set up. I use a 400w HPS non-aircooled for veg and flower. Temps get as high as 95+ without my exhaust fan going. But it is a 435 CFM fan in a 4'x2'x5' tent in my closet pulling cold air from my attic in my grow closet. If I don't have a fan controller, temps easily get as low as 65 with running full blast. Also, it helps if your fan has more CFM than your carbon filter, like mine. It helps neutralize the smell in the air better.

Buying the $20 speed controller seperately would be cheaper than the price on any variable speed fan. That option is only available on the higher end models that would be quite a bit more expensive.

It is good to remember that a lot of fixed speed fans use the air movement caused by the blades to also cool the motor, reducing the speed of a fan that was not intended to run at alternative speeds can lower the life expectancy of the fan and sometimes cause more noise than at full speed.
