indoor growbox heating for winter

i got a 6 foot tall 5 foot wide growbox. my house is realy big and even with the heat on its still cold so i just got a sharper-image portable space heater its like 6 inches tall.the only problem is that when its on it has an orange glow to it. when it gets real cold i was gunna put it on a timer and be on for 15 mins the off for 45 mins. will the orange glow from the heater affect the dark period of 12/12????

absoloutly, get an electric oil radiator n set on lowest setting, be sure to cover the on switch light with tape. much safer set up, wont burn the house down

The orange glow does put off light but its just a small and weak light source that it shouldnt matter. Ive used heater in my grow room before without problems. Like 4tatude said tho, a oil heater is probably better and safer.

My lil 6x6 ish space heater dosent glow like the old ones did.
But I had to tape over the power light.
