Indoor closet grow help (first timer)

I need some help figuring out what would be best equipment for my closet grow.
I’m willing to spend around 400-500 dollars. I plan to grow 3-4 plants. I’d like to get at least 1 oz per plant of good bud. I want to grow something with low odor and a high yield. I have not yet picked what type I want to grow yet any suggestions are helpful J.
My closet is 3-foot deep, 6 foot long and 8 foot tall.
A little bit of information on my closet. It is in the farthest room away from the front door. I have an attic right about my closet so I can remove a bit of roofing to do ventilation up through the ceiling into the attic if needed. The room is already painted white but the door is brown.
I figure I’ll do a 2 tables with 2 plants on each table. This would take up about half of my grow room.
What would you do for ventilation in this room? I was thinking 2 fans large fans flowing air around. I’m still confused on exactly how or what im doing here. I’d like the odor to be low so I was thinking a carbon filter of some sort. I’m confused on how to go about setting this up. Ona Pro if I cant figure out how to get my carbon filter set up. Or ill use both intake and exhaust would be good. How big of fans should I need and how to make it flow out the roof. My attic is really hot and humid if that chances anything.
The next question I have is the lighting I need to use. I’m not sure exactly how much or what amount of watts I need for each stage of growing. Any help would be great. I heard good things about fluorescent lights for the veg stage.
How can I measure the humidity and temperature in my room? What kind of device will measure both of these?
With my budget what would you do to this room to create a nice little grow room? I would like to grow 2 times a year. Would you go with a hydroponic grow or a normal soil grow?
Would you go with a grow tent or what? My main issue is how do I get fresh air into my closet. There are no windows or anything close to my closet.

wish i had that space coz its ideal for 4 to 6 plants u cud hang 2 400 watt hps or better again 2 600 watt hps so then u have to get rid of the heat and thats the problem coz u will need at least a ten to 12 inch fan that can take out the hot air and the smells and vent them into ur attic space, you then need a much smaller fan say 4 inch nothink special for intake but if u can keep the temps down intake may not b that inportant, but if it is then u need ducting coming down from u loft space where u can pull some fresh air from the draught holes in ur loft so u will need a few meters in and a few meters out, or do as i do i av one grow tent 4ft x 4ft by 2 meters high i can grow 4 decent size plants in there, last grow i done just 2 plant and got 6 an a half dry ounces of killer bud, i am trying 4 plants this time, i will still probly get the same as i did 2 plants coz now these will av less room but i will see, so to cap it of i grow in soil using one 600 watt hps, i use a real small fan and duct to bring air in and a 5 inch fan and filter attached to duct and out through my loft,, it can drive u crazy thinkin wats the best setup for ur budget, but seems how u allready av a small area u dont rearly need the tent but if u get a tent then u can get smaller fans n filter coz u av less space to vent out etc,, ur budget will cover a tent a 600 watt hps and a 5 inch extracter fan n filter and some duct, good look man hope u come up wiv somethink. peace out man !!!

Hey man thanks for the reply. I was thinking about doing my grow in a tent but I'm having problems finding good information on the tents. I would need a smaller tent than the one you have. I'd need like a 3x4x7foot tent to fit in my closet. That would be fine with me. I think I need to do some more research on how the tents are set up. Do you have a log or anything with pictures of your tent that i can check out? Is a tent, a 600 watt hps, and a 5 inch extracter fan and filter and some duct all i need for my grow room? Would i be able to hide the smell easier in the tent?
