Indicas and shade?

Simple question do indicas like partly shaded areas when outdoors? temps are 80-90 degrees daily in my area? I feel my root system is getting to hot from direct sunlight 16 hours a day

No as long as you keep the dirt watered they will thrive in that area

if your growing in pots outside and the sides of the pots are getting hot thats no good - it will kill root growth - if your in the ground your kewl

Indicas, sativas, autos all want direct light. Why do you think we flower with huge 1000 watt bulbs?
Because the plants turn light into growing energy. Putting a growing plant in the shade is silly. If you think the roots are getting too hot (?)
water more often.
