increase humidity

my humidity guage is reading roughly 48% . I've read it should be somewhere between 50-60%. What are some simple ways of increasing humidity? Also, how would I decrease the humidity should the need arive?

i agree with dirtyboy...rough to make a 5% increase cause u really dont wanna go over 65% or so. might try using an empty water bottle and putting a hole in the cap of it then putting active yeast, sugar and some water in there to release some co2 which will increase ur humidty. u can vary how much co2 it puts out by removing the bottle if it gets too high and shaking the bottle back up if it gets too low. ne one else recommend this?
