In Pursuit of the Momma(s)

Hello all. Been a long while since I have been on here, long enough i forgot how to log in. LOL. Lots has happened in the five years i have been gone. I recently got my tent put together and got my lights cleaned up. I have well over a thousand plants under my belt over the last ten years or so.

I'm gonna give a run down of my plan and approach. Let me know if anyone has a better way or sees a mistake in the making. None of us are perfect, right!

I'm getting my stuff set up now in efforts to find some good genetics to run with outdoors 2017.

I have a 4x8 tent. I have 2 1000w and 3 600w ballasts. I'm uncertain which light combo i will run. Leaning towards 2 6's. But may need to run 2 1k's. Input welcome here… Is going to be ran in a bedroom. This bedroom has its own bathroom and window and door accessing outside. Doubt we run any co2 so long as we can keep the air exchanged.

I have germinated roughly 75 seeds. Some Barney's seeds. The majority of these seeds bred by myself or family. AK47 and Blueberry crosses with some LA Lady make up the seeds bred by us. A handful of these seeds were from fire west coast bags. Have a couple gorilla glue. If i save a seed is it because the plant/bud was exceptional. So really hoping that out of the 70-80 beans i've got wet, surely to GOD i will walk away with at least 3-5 keepers. Looking for weight here.

Well. That's my goal. Here's the part i'm looking for input on. Assuming a 50% male/female ratio, I should end up with 35-40 females to run. I am planning to fit these all in the tent at first. Considering 2 liter bottles to grow in. Any better suggestions?

My plan is to cull hard at first and continue to pull undesirables as flowering nears. I am going to run 18/6 for 4 weeks then make the switch. Take 3 clones from each plant at flower.

What do y'all think? See any issues?

I am thinking it is going to be tight in there. Again, i'm not looking for a big yield here. I'm looking for the few good strains to run as Mommas for outdoor this summer and to stock a few indoor grows i am getting up and running.

Thanks for looking and happy growing all!
