Important light questiion... i want to finish my grow box...

i am close to finishing my stealth pc grow box but i would like to kno if i could jus use a reg house light bulb??? 40watt... i would really like to finish this box tonight...lol i already hae some started...:peace::joint:

HELLS NO, i have 3 40w cfls about 5 times as much light as that pathetic bulb (in a pc case),,,, they get to hot (house bulbs), and dont put out enough lite, and not in the rite spectrum and 40w isnt enough. sorry bro, get some cfls (compact flourescent lights)

i can buy the cfl's but i dont have enough money for the fixture... any ideas??? i have a 50watt halogen... idont think thats so good though i have a plant growin right now under halogen light but its doin kinda week...

do you have any 4 foot fl fixtures? you can use them too, (shop lites) but a compact cfl is the only thing that you can screw into a reg socket and have it work. I'm out of work and have no income, but still I scrounged up 2 4' flouerescent fixtures! Weed is important to me and in order to grow properly you must care about your babies! An incandescent bulb does not have the right spectrum for plant growth, and stay away from 'grow'flourescents most of these suck. just cool white and warm white bulbs are enough...

yeah the "grow" flouresent tubes SUCK i bought one from lowes that was a UV grow light, it wasnt enough light for my babies and it turned them purple and they died!!!! :(

the spectrum from a gro lite is just wrong for pot, it works pretty well for marigolds (my mom just emailed about this she does not know I even schmoke. lol) So they just suck for pot.

i was wondering if i had to put mylar or anything like that or if i could jus leave the comp jus the way it is?? im a newbie for sure and want to experiment w/ a stealth grow... also should i put the plants on 12/12 from the start??? im gonna be using bagseed cause im not gonna risk buyin from a website... i live in the us so... thnx for all the help u guys r awesome!!!!!:joint::peace:

i'd go ahead and use the mylar if you want a nice grow space. it will help reflect the light so the plants will be able to get more. its deffinatley not gonna hurt!

i wouldn't start in 12/12, i have a pc grow too but i like to veg 18/6 for a little, a couple weeks max just to get some roots and leaves going, and its usually better to flower after a couple nodes have come in
