I have 4 plants starting from seeds and im just startinf what kinda light do i need and how long and how far from plants?

You should consider using CFLs..

Compact Fluorescent Lights.. they sell them at most hardware and drug stores.. get the 42 watt bulb.. about 10 dollars...

keep it less than 1 inch from your plants..

Why flourescent and not 45 watt house hold bulb

Either will work and that is what counts.

Regular incandescent bulbs will NOT NOT NOT NOT work.

I don't make the rules.. Mother nature does.. but I follow them..
