Ice water

I am growing BLUE MYSTIC from nirvana and i heard that you can water with ice cold water to help coloring of buds. is this true and would it help me and how cold? Do you do it durng flowering or both? HELP HELP HELP!!!

I know that cooler temps at night can cause purple coloration but I've never heard of watering with ice water before. It could shock the roots I suppose but I've never tried it so I can't say for sure.

Id advise against it..don't think it affects color as doc said..and ideal root temperature is something like 70(dont hold me too it) and ice cold water would almost surely lead to decreased nutrient uptake..I even read that in cold environments up to 90(again don't hold me too it.do a little of your own research) in very cold environments..I use room temperature water

it will shock the roots n just generally fuck up the plants imo if ya that desperate to get colour make sure its a strain with colour n then just lower night temps just imo

thanks for the info i just heard it and didnt want to do something my gut was telling me not to!

blue mystic looks more like a light tint rather than bright colors
