I want to grow in my crawl space but I am broke!!!!

I got this lamp in my livingroom with a 300 watt tube light which is like 3 inchs long will this work in a 4 by 4 foot crawl space??? The other idea I have in the lamps they use on construction sites to dry mudd or paint with the two square lights on them????

Your living room lamp sounds like a Haligen which is not good for growing. And likewise the construction lamps as I believe they are mostly Incandescent.
Get to Lowes & pick up some compact florescents(sp), they are cheap and do not put off too much heat.

Those square lamps on construction sites are halogen too.

Those won't grow

T8's are also highly affordable and quite effective. Though T5's are as much as 25% more efficient, but cost 10 times as much.
