Idle threat I thought at first, but if a patient lives there, why are they being harassed like this? Is it anyone's business what medication I take? This is quite a sticky situation......sorry, I'll do some pushups for that one...

Funny how it's not signed "Thank you the Management" or something to that effect. It could just be another tenant. Post a response (unsigned of course) asking if you need their permission to take your medicine. See what happens then.

If I lived there or even if I visited more often, I'd wade into this one for sure. Unfortunately it's would of, should of for me now. I'll try and get an update in a couple days, see if it's still up.

wow...ya that would make ya a bit nervous....I wonder what the cops would say if they got a call. I bet they'd secretly think...oh jeez....again.

I guess if your a "for real patient" your good to go...suck it landlord. just means exposing your personal business..which suck huge.

How would that go down? I guess both the police and the landlord would have a legitimate request for that info, but it's certainly not the neighbor's business. I don't live in a rental situation, but for those that do, who do you have to notify? Anyone?

Yes a bit of a dilemma and I'm sure not all that uncommon a situation....hmmm what to do.
Yes his privacy is being invaded. He may have zero choice but to approach the landlord before the cops get called...if he's legal of course

its illegal to smoke in apartments in ontario. If you do your an asshole degenerate with no respect to anybody but yourself. Iv'e dealt with somebody smoking in apartments before and it was hell. fuck whoever supports this.

Sounds like the lack of smoke alarms in the building or people coming in from the street
and lighting up on the stairs.
Either pot of cigarette smoke could stain the walls.

No smoking in apartments eh? Huh. I read that workplaces are now having to deal with patients that have to smoke during the workday, and that tobacco was not in the same category as MM. Did anyone else catch that?

A place where they can smoke that wouldnt stink up the factory or office.
Some people find it nauseating and it could be a fire hazard.

Meaning you can't come to work high, you must only medicate while you're there.

Actually, the smoking laws in Ontario only pertain to "tobacco" smoke specifically. They do not apply to any other smoked product.
9. (1) No person shall smoke tobacco or hold lighted tobacco in any enclosed public place or enclosed workplace. 2005, c. 18, s. 9.
(2) No person shall smoke or hold lighted tobacco in the following places or areas:

1. A school as defined in the Education Act.

2. A building or the grounds surrounding the building of a private school, where the private school is the only occupant of the premises, or the grounds annexed to a private school, where the private school is not the only occupant of the premises.

3. Any common area in a condominium, apartment building or university or college residence, including, without being limited to, elevators, hallways, parking garages, party or entertainment rooms, laundry facilities, lobbies and exercise areas.

4. A day nursery within the meaning of the Day Nurseries Act.

5. A place where private-home day care is provided within the meaning of the Day Nurseries Act, whether or not children are present.

6. The reserved seating area of a sports arena or entertainment venue.

7. A prescribed place or area. 2005, c. 18, s. 9.
