I think I over did it.

Ok, Here is what is happening.

This is my second Hydro grow. My first one, I bought one of those Botanicare Micro Hydroponic systems. Which is a flood and drain system with a plant tray that is about 12"X23". good for 3 fully grown plants. This time I built a new grow room, with an AC unit because of my heat trouble, an R/O filtation unit which fills a 55 gallon barrel with a float valve for water supply. My grow tray is now 3'X3" with a 40 gallon res. 400 watt HPS/MH light, with (6), will be(8) 43 watt cfls. the walls are covered in Panda Film. One side reflect 90% light, the other is black and lets zero light out.

I used my old system to get 7 plants going for 3 weeks, and then moved them to the new room. WOW. I have enough room for maybe 16 Plants, My room is one big hummmmm, with all the fans and pumps and air stones and r/o water dribbling. My elect. meter is turning pretty good, but livable. I did not realise that my system could do so many plants. I have been hitting some probelms though, And would like some suggestions, or what ever.

Where I live we have very high temps in summer, up to 120f, with humidity outside of 3%-20%. So i put and Air Conditioner unit in my room. I did a dry run, no water, just my 400 light. Temp was at 75f, not like 88f-94f my last grow, and humidity was at 30% about the same as last grow. OH, I had bought a 20" box fan for exhaust from room, but then I noticed the fan would let in light into my flowering room, so I figured my AC unit has an inlet and outlet for air. I ran it for 12 hours, with 55 gallon supply tank full, and res tank full, and My humidity was 55%. So I went and bought a squirrel fan with 6" flex ducting..

Check this out, I go into Lowes, I ask this person who works there, where are the Squirrel Fans, she replies you will have to go to a pet store for that, I replied, you are joking, right??? She replied, No we do not sell pets or pet supplies.. ROFLMAO..

Anyway, My plants are 19 days old from when they poped out. The PPM is 900, and PH is 5.8. Temp is 78f, and humidty is 38%.

Zoom in on the one picture and you can see how much of what I am adding to water in res in my journal.

Hope you all like the photos, but if you see something wrong, please let me know.

Oh yah, these photos are two days old, I already had to move the lights twice, the light burned two of my leaves ever so slightly.

Oh yah, these plants are from Nirvana Seeds, they are Northern Lights.

I used a small amount of clonex and Pot of Gold to germ them in, Took 24 hours for 8 of 10 seeds to crack. Then I placed them in rapid rooters, with the same water mix. I thought I would have 2-3 days to get my room running. But with in 24 hours of putting them in the Rapid Rooters, I had 2" of root hanging out the bottom of the rooters. I was scabbleing to get my room running that night. Had no R/O water( did not have my own system yet) and a bunch of other things I had to do also.

Well, hope this grow goes well.

Clone em. Dont wait much longer, they need a little trim soon. Seems like you know what you need to do. Setting your light cycle so its only on at night will help also. Looks good, and when you add the 400 watt hps you will be fine for 16 plants. VV

Hope you do good with those NL. Im using ebb n flow too and actually tried some NL on my last grow. Those were from BC Bud Depot. They did not look anything like those. Looking good.

Ok, just got back from the Hydro store, I bought the items I need to clone with. I am hoping I can do this correctly. I have a Clone Dome, Rapid Rooters, Clonex, Clone Gel, Pot of Gold, Hygrozyme, and something called Shamin (spl)

This is my second grow. My first grow I had, was with a grow tray that was 12"X23". I had 4 plants started in it to start. And ended up with 3 fully flowered plants. But the 3 plants were crowded. So i wanted to upgrade my system. I did not think my system was really this large and could handle that many plants. But I might change my mind once these plants start flowering.

My little hydro system is what I am going to use for my clones now.

I have stuff to do clones tomorrow. Rapid Rooters, plastic Clone dome with tray, clonex, Pot of Gold, cloning jell.

This is scarey. Most of peoples clones look like crap even after 30 days that I have seen. One guy had clones that wilted a little, but then went nuts growing.

Here is what I am thinking of doing. Cut clones, dip in cloning jell. then Place in Rapid rooters with one tablespoon of Clonex, hygrozyme, and pot of gold and 50% strength of what they say for clones. Place in my rapid rooters, and then in clone dome with a t-5 light over them. Once the roots show they hit the hydro system I have from my first grow, in the midium sized rockwool cubes, which will be conditioned.

What have I missed. Cloning scares the crap out of me for some reason.

Hey mike. Did I get the wrong link? I chose the link for the Cloning machin. You had a start of the clones, but I saw no middle or any finish. Was i checking out the wong thing?

So how do I judge how well your cloning system works? I see nothing of the end product in your thread, So what am I supposed to think?

wtf, good luck and sorry you cant see that the set up works

i was simply showing you what worked for me and trying to help

i did not ask you to be a judge. i thought the art of cloning was to develop roots then from there i dont see the challenge.....its up to you

here are a few, do you want a pic of the veg room ?

Did not mean to offend you Mike. I could not tell a clone from a seedling plants right now. What I ment was like, how long did it take for them to stop drooping. How long until they have their roots set well.

Mike is that the Panda Film I see under that one plant?

Argh..... I was drunk last night, and this morning is not much better. I hate the hang over booze gives you. :spew: :?

I started 12 clones today. I hope they make it.

From what I have read, taking these clones from my Plants should set them back a week from shock. Is this correct? I was thinking of putting them into flower next weekend. You guys think this would work out?

wassup chab, I too just took 6 clones. When you say set them back, were you in flowering stage. If so, yes it might. I was and it might set mine back. GL with the clones. what do you think of mine.

yea prolly will set them back better to take clones before flowering could reduce overall plant yeild due to it repairing itself rather then focusing mainly on the growing flowers plus if you clone in veg you can sex them earlier in a seperate flowering room to find out what sex they are then continue ur grow and remove the male plants if neccassary plus this way you can ensure wich ones are female and wich ones are male and taking up space/water and your money.
