Ok. I will try and be kind and helpful.
Weed is a heavy feeding plant, your gonna want to use at least a 3 gallon pot to get anything more then a 1/2oz across the finish line to harvest. Most soil only growers I know say 10gal is their minimum. Or feed the plant though other methods regularly.
Your plant is stretching because it dose not receive enough light intensity so it is using what energy it has to get closer to the source.
You can download a free photon meter, tent growers aim for 1000ppfd which is a Lil less then direct full sunlight, your gonna wanna find a windows spot you can get a reading of at least 700 and for as much time of the day as possible under 11hrs.

You can bury the stem and it will send out roots- similar to a tomato plant

personaly i would start again with new seeds, then try and take the top as a cutting to start life a fresh

I'd bury 2-3" of that, then loop the top back down the stem and tie it off on that stake you have. Will also look cool af when it's mature.

You might wanna bury it on its side in a trench rather than vertically. That way the root ball isn't all at the very bottom of the pot
