6 days ago i transplanted 14 of these from promix and 4 days ago 14 from soil to RDWC ( i know that thats not "proper" BUT it was the choice i had at the time)

Anyways i have new roots coming in great from almost all of them already. My PH was high (7-7.2) the first 2-3 days (meter was out, didnt relize it till i went to calibrate and wouldn't so bought 2 new ones). PH was fixed and has been between 5.8-6 since. Ppm has held at 550-600ppm and EC at 1.2-1.3. Has not gone up or down at all

Room is between 77-80 and 50-65% humidity, lights are on 60% power

Check these out please, are they just shocked still? are my ppms to high maybe? did the 2-3 days of ph screw them? Combinations of all? Also the roots are not as brown as the pics make them seem, they are not diff of a color then they were after i washed all the soil off of them, no slime and no smell either and the new root growth is solid white. Could is still be root rot.

I did JUST start a flush on them all as i assume it may be lockout and i dont THINK a flush could hurt at all. Final question is it worth for me to keep tackling these? They are growing new growth in both thw roots and the leaves just not quickly at all. I wouldnt be able to get new copies for 2 weeks, is this issue i have thia early going to affect my yield bad?

Hit me with what y'all got please, i really need to decide whether or not to junk these and restart or if thw chance of survival and becoming healthy in the next week is a high possibility!!!

IIRC soil roots are different then hydro roots? Anyway what Ive done in the past is just take sharp scissors and cut off the old soil roots

Ok, im glad you said this because i could only find 2 posts about that without much info so i was to nervouse to stress it out to death doing so, now that they have established some decent starter roots for hydro you think that would be the way to go for me?

Lol if this is implying for me to research, i have. Alot actually i am pretty positive they are locked out from the ph fluctuation at the beginning and my ppm being to high (still nice to hear conformation of that from some guys who have been in rdwc a long time though. Also there really isnt any info on how long they typically take to recover or if it really affects end yield being like this, this early in the stage of veg
The purple stems tells all, this is going to take awhile. Are you running some sort of hydrogaurd?

Do 3 or 4 wait a day or so see how they respond.

Yes i was running hydrgaurd itself. Also i meant to tag the other fella with that resposne not you just so u know. Sorry for confusion

Keep ppm low, ph is going to fluctuate so dont stress, res changing will be the norm for awhile.Filters to collect floating roots will help. Also an Enzyme product to eat the dead stuff.Enzymes Komplete is a good product.

Awhile as in 3 or 5 days or awhile like 3 weeks? I do have filters at wach end bucket for collection, thank god lol. Ill get that product asap also.

You asked about ditching all this and start over,my guess is it will take more then a month to recover and you may be fighting root issues. If you have clones ready then yes start over.Ive done this in the past but it was small.

All that purple leads to alot of stress.

A couple days, theres enough white roots i dont see a problem.Back your light off if you haven't already.

This has helped me understand PH for my coco. I know it gets techno. Bookmark is my friend. Lol

New? Have you had successful runs in the past?

Wow, just reading to the point of that so far where it states Ph is good in a wider range of 5.2-6.5, thats incredible. And after reading just that along with mykes advice i assume what my main issue has been is simply WAY to high of ppms....

I got my rez water changed out now with fresh water at 5.8Ph and 50ppm. Ill give it 24 hrs and see what the ph and ppms are at.

Ty sir i appreciate it

I did back my 640w leds down to 60%. Think im going to go down to 50% at this point. My rez is changed out with fresh 5.8Ph water at 50ppm. Going in there in a bit here and ill prune them roots

Ok i see "copys" in two weeks,Then wait and see how they do.My gut says replace start over.Youll be going to bed ea night for the next month stressed. Not worth it.2 weeks youll have a fresh start.so in 6 weeks youll have big healthy plants ready to flower.
Good luck.

Yea, this is what im gonna do. Im gonna prune these roots, continue on trying to get these back to life. If they arent were they should be in 2 weeks ill start over at that point. Hopefully they bouce back good and fast, definitely hate throwing money down the drain. Fml, can not BELIEVE i made this mistake with ppm's

I really appreciate the help, thank you

Sounds good. I’m not sure on the strains and if they can take the stress. But what if a few hermie on you?? The whole room is compromised.
