I Need Indoor Growers Advice, Experience

I hope this is the right section, If not I sincerely apologize. At this point in time I'm working part-time and going to college. My checks aren't that great and well I love to smoke, So I figured hey, If I can just grow the stuff myself, Think about how much money I could save, And I wouldn't have to deal with some of these crazies out here in the world selling it. Anyways my main concern, is I'm still living at home with my mother til I finish college. In my own room, What possible choices of a setup do I have to grow it, while keeping it hidden, as well as smell-less. My first idea was to build a wooden box about 4ft tall, 3ft wide, and insulate the box with plastic to air seal it, and hook up the lights inside so it's like it's own little grow room. However, will the plant be able to thrive that way? It seems to me like it would wither away in that little box. 5 days a week, I have 6 hours where I could open it and let the smell vent, would that be enough? If you've read my essay, Lol, thank you so much for your time and any feed back what so ever would be fantastic. Anything from ideas, to experiences, or how it won't work, Or what I could change to make it work would be more than generous! Thanks alot everyone! Happy growing and smoking! :blsmoke:

Stranger Danger!

Read some forums and you will have plenty of ideas. And if you don't see any mention of it Ozone Jr.'s work good for eliminating odor in small areas.

dude if u get the basics u could grow a plant in a sewer. the problems that stick out with your plans are: the grow space is a tad small. u have to factor in the height of the pot, plant, light, and add about a foot (give or take) to that because of the heat generated by the light. next heat is going to be an issue. the smaller the space the bigger the issue. smell boils down to the strain. some u can smell like a block away others u cant smell until u disturb the bud so that shouldnt be a problem unless u make it one but u can alway look online and make a diy carbon filter. and the last problem i see coming your way and the hardest to fix is noise. magnetic ballast hum. on top of that fans and air pumps (if u go hydro) humm and its hard to find a good lie to describe y theyre humming 24hrs. and u really cant dampen the sound because ur going to need a way for air to get in and out so the plant doesnt sufficate in so many words. if i were u, and u could figre out a way to cover the noises i would set up in the closet. by a roll of plastic sheeting from a hardware store, its like a roll of trash bags that havent been cut into trash bags, get a black roll and a white roll if u can afford the white one and duck tape it to the ceiling. that'll keep the light in they should sell the stick on ziper too

as long as u have air coming in and circulating. keep the plant feed. and have the light at an ok distance, u want to get it as close as possible without the light fucking with the plant (if the back of your hand is uncomfortable a foot from the light the plant would be uncomfortable with the light being a foot away, etc...) u should be ok

Thanks a ton, I had spent a few hours today just lurking the forums and since then I feel way better than this morning. Also your tips are really helpful, you pointed out some things I wasn't even aware of! Again, thanks for your time, and really helpful advice.
