I need help with lights

Hey this is my first indoor grow and would like some advise on lighting. I have a 3 wide, 3 foot deep, and about 7.5 - 8 foot tall room. I did a lot of research about the whole light spectrum deal. I was planning on doing straight 40 watt cfl lights for the vegestative cycle and a 150 watt hps system for the flowering cycle. I am planning on getting one of the complete hps systems. Do you think this will be enough light for 2-3 plants. I was also thinking of adding a couple 23 watt cfl lights during the flowering cycle for just a wider spectrum of light and a little more lumens. Any advise is welcome.

Get a 400w hps, you wont regret it. More light = bigger nugs. If your just having 3 plants, 400 watts will fill out those bitches. especially if you want to grow them a little on the tall side. If you decide to go with a 150w hps for some reason, use the cfls also during the flowering cycle. Maybe place them near the lower branches to try and build them up. Good luck my friend

Agreed.
A 150 wouldn't do nine sq. feet justice.
A 400 is perfect and not much more $$$ than a 250 and almost double the lumens.
